New Year Resolutions

One of the main conversations as of today is New Years resolutions. You guessed it. New year new me. This year I’m going to change. Although many people start to create these resolutions, others say that they never work. The issue with New Year resolutions are that people only limit them to the new year. Being able to commit to something that isn’t so easy isn’t extremely simple to continue. Even as an artist, committing to something that causes a ton of effort isn’t always easy to sticking. Something like a 365 or practicing something to get better at it is not always easy when it’s painful. In other words, in order to get what you want, you may have to do things that you won’t want to do. For example, in order to get good grades, you have to study and work hard for them, in order to get better at drawing is to continue to practice as much as you can. Sometimes that journey to get where you want to get can be a frustrating rollercoaster. You may go through times where you are doing well and you also may go through times where you want to give up, but you have to stay strong and continue to move forward to not let yourself fall back and return to the start. Another issue with New Years resolutions is when to finish. When many people are satisfied with their results, they end up thinking that they don’t have to continue with it any longer and then they loose their results. For example, if someone wants to get better at playing an instrument, they’re going to practice as much as they can, and once they think they’re good enough, they stop practicing and then eventually their results will slowly decrease. It’s important to have a goal and continue to follow through with it. The truth is that these new year resolutions should never come to an end. Staying strong and following things through will bring you to success and an ever longing of your results. Continuing with mind over matter will give you the strength to be able to have a lot of control and discipline for yourself, and that will bring you that much farther in life and help you achieve. It will give you the power to be able to make decisions and resolutions and changes much easier than the person that doesn’t have strong self discipline.
